Happy Birthday Vader.

Well my little man turned 5. I guess I can't call him that anymore. He's not so little anymore. I keep looking at him hoping to see a glimpse of that chubby little baby. I get kind of sad because I can't find him. I see a very different person now. Although I miss my baby, I absolutely adore my 5 year old. Here's a list of 5 things I love about my buddy.

1. I love to watch him pretend. He is 100% boy. He'll run around swinging and kicking imaginary bad guys. One moment he is Darth Vader, the next he is Indiana Jones. He wants to save the world. It warms my heart to watch him; it really makes me smile.

2. He is a great big brother. Although at times he is a relentless tease, if anyone crosses paths with his sister, they better watch out. He adores her and he loves to teach her things (good and bad).

3. Ben has a great laugh. He throws his head back and laughs and laughs. It always makes me smile.

4. He has a sensitive soul. Although he pretty mischievous, he doesn't like to make mom mad. He will ask me, "mom, are you mad at me?". If my answer is yes, he is usually distraught.

5. Ben loves people. He is not afraid to say hello and is usually always polite to strangers. He is a very sweet boy and I adore him.

Happy Birthday bud. I know you can't wait to be grown up, but would you slow down? A little?

Okay. This is a long post. But here are some highlights from his party. We did a Star Wars themed party and it turned out great. Super fun. I think the kids enjoyed it.
