My Last 2 Weekends...

Last weekend was spent at home throwing a baby shower for my sister. It was a hit and turned out beautifully. Thanks to Erica's Sis-inlaw Jamie and to my Mother for all their help. My sister is so beautiful and so ready to have our new little buddy.

Yesterday was my father-in-laws birthday. For years he has wanted a scooter. It has never happened for whatever reason and I think he was beginning to lose hope. This year we decided to all throw some money in and get him a scooter. Aaron rolled the scooter up behind him and beeped the horn. He turned around and his face was priceless. He was speechless and pretty much just stood there. After the shock wore off he was on his new baby taking it for a spin. Now he can join the family scooter gang!

I hope all is well with everyone. 3 more days until school is out! I am stoked to spend the summer just being a mommy again. Lots of fun summer days ahead!

Holy Busy!

I've been a blog stranger it seems. I'm trying to get this school year over with, I've been obsessed with digital scrapping, working on a baby shower, and with Aaron's new class he is always hogging the puter. So we have been taking turns, and I'm seriously considering getting another computer. Hmmm. Maybe a laptop?

Anyway, I have been reading all your blogs even though I haven't been updating mine. I found this one today and thought it was cute.

You Are Fozzie Bear

"Wocka! Wocka!"

You're the life of the party, and you love making people crack up.

If only your routine didn't always bomb!

You may find more groans than laughs, but always keep the jokes coming.

If you want to see yours, you can find it here.

By the way, I must of really screwed up answering these questions because I don't think Fozzie describes me at all. He's cute at least, right?

Whatever.

1 - Five places that I go to over and over:

  • Work (A local High School)
  • The Park
  • That giant, unbelievably annoying place, Walmart.
  • Home
  • My in-laws
2- Five people who e-mail me (regularly): They're the best of friends. :)
  • Old Navy
  • Target
  • Joann's
  • Hancock Fabrics
  • Toys-R-Us

3 - Five favorite places to eat:

  • Cafe Rio (I still love that trendy salad!)
  • Johnny Carinos
  • My Mom-in-laws home
  • My sisters home
  • Famous Dave's
4 - Five places I would rather be right now:
  • In bed
  • Hometown
  • On a beach
  • Peru
  • Europe
5 - Five TV shows I watch all the time:
  • LOST
  • ER
  • The Biggest Loser
  • The Office
  • ? (I don't watch a ton of TV)
I'm sorry you had to endure but another 5x5 blog. You can blame Mindy, because I can't just ignore her tag. How rude would that be? ;) Anyhoo, I tag nobody, because I would never feed the flame to the endless 5x5 blog. (I'm being facetious, just incase anyone thought I was really this bratty.) Okay, I'm done.

Remember?

Remember those days in highschool during the Spring when it took every bit of strength you had to sit in class all day? Remember looking out the window daydreaming of better days spent outside? Remember that thing called Spring fever or Senioritis?

Well, TEACHERS GET IT TOO! Fifteen more days, baby!

Just a tidbit of information. We started a new book this month. It is called Escape by Carolyn Jessop. It is a non-fiction story of her escape from the FLDS church. It is not the best writing but the story is very interesting. So far, I likey.

Okay, I'm addicted.

This could be a very bad thing. Just so you know, I worked out, played outside with the kids, and did my chores. We won't talk about all the other things I should have done. But I guarantee I did this layout an hour (or two) quicker than if I did it with paper. Yay! (I promise I won't bore you with all the layouts I concoct. I'm done for the day.)

My first digi scrapbooking layout

I've been scrapbooking for years. You can probably say I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on scrapping supplies. I love scrapbooking, but it takes a lot of space. If you know us, we move a lot and space is not a luxury we have. So it makes it hard to get everything out and start a project. I don't get to scrap as much as I would like. I've always been skeptical of the whole digital scrapping world, but recently I've come upon a little inspiration.

I'm taking a class from Jessica Sprague. She is digi scrapping pro. So far, I think I'm loving this whole thing. For all you scrappers out there, seriously, can you imagine scrapping without all the mess? Here is my first layout. It is pretty generic, but I learned a lot and I'm excited for more!
